Vivo V70: Vivo appears to be making significant preparations for the Indian smartphone market once again. Recently, the Vivo V70 Elite 5G was listed on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website, suggesting an imminent launch in India. Interestingly, the Vivo Y51 5G has also appeared in the BIS database alongside it. This clearly indicates the company is planning to launch new smartphones across different price segments.
Model Numbers Confirmed by BIS Listing
According to a post by tech tipster Anvin (@ZionsAnvin), BIS has certified two new Vivo smartphones. Vivo V70 Elite 5G with model number V2548 and Vivo Y51 5G with model number V2544. BIS certifications typically appear before a phone’s launch, so it’s believed that the Vivo V 70 Elite 5G’s India launch is not far off.
Vivo V70 Series Arrives Almost Certain
Earlier this month, a Vivo phone with the model number V2538 was spotted on the BIS website, reportedly the Vivo V 70. This phone could be the successor to the Vivo V60. Although the BIS listing doesn’t reveal the phone’s specifications, the continued release of certifications suggests that Vivo is expanding its V-series in India.

Vivo T5x 5G Also in the pipeline
Reports suggest that another Vivo smartphone with the model number V2545 has appeared on the BIS, believed to be the Vivo T5x 5G. This phone could be the successor to the Vivo T4x 5G. It’s worth noting that the Vivo T4x 5G was launched in India with a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor at a starting price of ₹13,499.
How many models will the Vivo V70 5G be available in?
According to leaks and tipsters, the Vivo V70 series may include several models, such as the Vivo V70, Vivo V70 Elite 5G, Vivo V 70 FE 5G, and Vivo V70 Lite 5G. This series is expected to target the premium and mid-premium segments.
Vivo V70 Specifications
The Vivo V 70 was previously spotted on Geekbench, revealing some of its key features. It includes an octa-core processor and Adreno 722 GPU, possibly powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC, and runs on Android 16. Geekbench scores indicate a single-core score of 1,235 points, a multi-core score of 3,920 points, and according to FCC certification, the phone may also feature 5G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC.
RAM Storage and Price
Some reports claim that the Vivo V 70 could be a rebranded version of the Vivo S50, launched in China in December. This phone is likely to arrive in India in a single variant with 8GB RAM + 256GB storage. Possible Price and Launch Timeline: According to media reports, the Vivo V 70 could start at around ₹45,000. The Vivo V70 Elite 5G could be priced around ₹50,000. It is being reported that Vivo may launch multiple smartphones simultaneously in India in January 2026.
The BIS listing and the ongoing leaks clearly indicate that several new Vivo smartphones, including the Vivo V70 Elite 5G, are ready to enter India. With a premium design, the latest Android 16, and a powerful processor, the Vivo V 70 series could pose significant competition in the market in the future.
